Barry wrote to Matt Hancock, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regarding the way deaths are being registered during the pandemic. Currently, GP’s are now required to immediately register deaths with the Care Quality Commission. As we know GPs are already being overstretched at this time, and this seems like an unnecessary burden to place upon them, especially as deaths are already registered swiftly with the official registrar.

You can see my letter to the Health Secretary here,  that was co-signed by 12 of my colleagues.
